Flashcart setup
Only use game files you have the legal right to own. Always eject the microSD card safely from your computer before removing it, and never pull the card or power off the console mid-write, as this can corrupt saves and the menu firmware.
Flashcart Setup
Setting up an EverDrive-GG means preparing its microSD card with the correct firmware and a tidy folder layout. Do this once and future games are a simple copy operation.
flashcart setup- Format the card. Format your microSD as FAT32 with default allocation. Cards up to 32 GB usually work without special tools; larger cards may need a dedicated FAT32 formatter.
- Copy the firmware. Download the latest official EverDrive-GG operating system package and extract its menu files to the root of the card.
- Make a games folder. Create a clearly named folder for your ROMs so the browser stays organized.
- Add your games. Copy your legally owned ROM files into that folder.
- Eject safely. Use your operating system's safe-eject function before removing the card.
- First boot. Insert the card and cart, power on, and confirm the menu loads and lists your games.
Keep Firmware Updated
New firmware releases fix bugs and improve compatibility. Updating is usually as simple as replacing the menu files on the card with the newer versions.
Once the menu boots cleanly, see the loading games page for browsing, launching, and save management. If the menu fails to appear, reformat the card and recopy the firmware before suspecting the cart.
