EverDrive N8 Pro

EverDrive N8 Pro

The EverDrive N8 Pro is the most capable SD flashcart for the NES and Famicom. It loads ROM images from a microSD card through a clean in-game menu, letting you keep an entire library on a single card instead of swapping cartridges.

What it does

  • In-game menu for browsing and launching titles without resetting to swap carts.
  • Save states, so you can freeze progress anywhere and resume later.
  • Battery-style and flash saving for games that originally relied on cartridge save memory.
  • Broad mapper support, covering the many circuit configurations publishers used to expand cartridge capabilities.

Two editions

The cart comes in two physical shapes to match the two console families:

  • 72-pin The NES edition fits the front-loading and top-loading American consoles.
  • 60-pin The Famicom edition fits the original Japanese hardware.

Pick the right shape

The two editions are not interchangeable on their own. To run a 60-pin Famicom flashcart on a 72-pin NES, you need a 72-to-60 adapter. Buy the edition that matches your primary console to avoid extra hardware.

Because the N8 Pro emulates mapper hardware faithfully rather than approximating it, compatibility and audio accuracy are excellent. A worn cartridge connector can still cause loading problems, so a healthy 72-pin slot remains important even with a flashcart.
