Booting XeLL
XeLL is the homebrew loader that the modified image boots into. Seeing it appear is the moment that confirms your install worked: the console is now running unsigned code instead of stopping at the locked retail bootchain. XeLL also reports useful details about your console, which helps verify the job is done.
What XeLL tells you
- That the glitch or exploit succeeded, since the loader only appears once the console boots unsigned.
- Your console's CPU key, which you can cross-check against what J-Runner recovered.
- Network details, often used to copy files to the console for the next step.
The overview
- Power onStart the console after writing the modified image.
- Wait for the glitchOn reset-glitch methods, allow the console a moment to glitch and reach the loader.
- Read XeLLConfirm the loader screen appears and note the details it reports.

If XeLL does not appear
A console that fails to reach XeLL usually points to a wiring or solder issue, or a mismatched image. Revisit those before going further rather than reflashing repeatedly.
