Building the image
Building the image is the step where your clean NAND dump becomes the modified flash that unlocks the console. J-Runner with Extras does the heavy lifting, combining your original dump, your console's CPU key, and the chosen method into a single image ready to write back.
What goes into the image
- Your original NAND dump, so the new image keeps everything specific to this console.
- The CPU key, which ties the image to this exact machine and no other.
- The method's boot logic, whether that is JTAG, an RGH variant, or R-JTAG.
The overview
- Load the dumpPoint J-Runner at your verified original NAND and CPU key.
- Pick the methodSelect the matching method for your console and hardware.
- BuildLet J-Runner assemble the modified image.
- WriteFlash the finished image back with your NAND programmer.
The image must be built with the correct CPU key for this console. Writing an image keyed to the wrong machine will not boot, so double-check the key before you flash.
After the modified image is written, power the console on to boot XeLL and confirm the install took.
