Is My Xbox 360 Compatible?
Almost every Xbox 360 can run homebrew through some method, but the right method depends on your motherboard revision and your CB/dashboard version. The software-only JTAG route only applies to older phat consoles that were never updated past an early dashboard. Everything newer relies on a glitch-based RGH method.
| Motherboard | Type | Typical method | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xenon | Phat | JTAG or RGH1.2 | Earliest board; JTAG works if on an unpatched CB / dashboard 7371 or lower |
| Zephyr | Phat | JTAG or RGH | JTAG only if never updated past the vulnerable dashboard |
| Falcon | Phat | JTAG or RGH | Same dashboard condition as above |
| Opus | Phat | RGH | Uncommon repair board |
| Jasper | Phat | JTAG or RGH | Last phat family; popular for glitching |
| Trinity | Slim | RGH | RGH1.2 / RGH3 commonly used |
| Corona | Slim | RGH | RGH3 often preferred; RGH1.2 also viable |
JTAG requires a console still on dashboard 7371 or lower with an unpatched CB. If your console was updated beyond that, an RGH method is your path. RGH3 is notable because it does not require a glitch chip on supported boards.
Confirm both your board and dashboard before deciding anything.
