The EverDrive-64 X5 is the more affordable member of Krikzz's N64 flashcart family. It focuses on the core experience, loading game backups, while leaving out some of the X7's extras to keep the price down.
What it does well
- SD card loading: the same easy menu-driven browsing and instant booting as its bigger sibling.
- Solid compatibility: runs the large majority of the library reliably.
- Lower cost: the cheapest way into a quality commercial flashcart.

Region behaviour
Like all flashcarts, the X5 handles lockout for backups, so out-of-region ROMs boot fine. It does not alter the console's TV standard, so a PAL console still outputs 50Hz and an NTSC console still outputs 60Hz.
Who it's for
The X5 is ideal if your only goal is playing backups and you do not need USB or robust save backup. Spend the difference on the X7 only if those extra features matter to you.
