Flashcart setup

Getting an FXPak Pro running is one of the simplest things you can do to an SNES, because nothing on the console itself changes. The whole job is preparing the card and inserting the cart.

Prepare the SD card
Format the card and copy the FXPak Pro menu files plus your games, as covered on the SD card preparation page.
Insert the card
Slide the prepared card into the flashcart until it seats firmly.
Seat the cart
Power off the console, insert the FXPak Pro into the cartridge slot, and ensure it is fully seated.
Boot the menu
Turn on the console; the flashcart's menu loads from the card, ready for you to pick a game.

Region just works

Thanks to auto region patching, you do not need an internal region mod to play loaded games on any console region. A multi-region shell ensures the cart physically fits an SNES or a Super Famicom slot.

If the menu does not appear, reformat the card, recopy the menu files, and reseat both the card and the cart. These steps resolve the large majority of first-boot issues.
