FXPak Pro
The FXPak Pro, formerly known as the SD2SNES, is the flagship SNES flashcart. It loads games from an SD card and uses an FPGA to recreate cartridge hardware accurately, giving it the broadest compatibility of any SNES cart.
What makes it special
- Near-full library. It runs almost every SNES game from the SD card with no original cartridges needed.
- Special chips. The FPGA imitates enhancement chips, so titles that used extra silicon run correctly.
- MSU-1 audio. It supports CD-quality streamed music and video in compatible games and romhacks.
- Auto region patching. It adjusts region settings on the fly, so loaded games run regardless of console region.
Region made easy
Because the FXPak Pro auto-patches region, flashcart users avoid almost all region headaches without touching the lockout chip. A multi-region shell lets the same cart sit in an SNES or a Super Famicom without trimming the slot.
Why it fits any board
The cart works on every SNES revision, but your board still sets your video quality. On a 1CHIP or Jr board the picture is crisp; on an older board, an RGB amp still helps. The flashcart improves what plays, not how the console outputs video.
