Credits and sources

This GameCube homebrew wiki was written as original content for this site. The explanations, structure, and wording here are our own, created to give newcomers a clear, accurate starting point for homebrew, video output, maintenance, and repair.

Inspired by the community

None of this would exist without the broader GameCube homebrew and modding community, whose years of documentation, testing, and tool development made the platform what it is today. While no text here is copied, the body of community knowledge informed what topics matter and how the hardware behaves.

Tools and projects referenced

  • The Swiss loader and its contributors
  • The GameCube Memory Manager project
  • The GCVideo firmware project behind modern HDMI mods
  • The PicoBoot modchip project
  • The Game Boy Interface launcher
  • RetroArch and the many emulator core authors

Attribution

Detailed attribution for individual projects, authors, and reference material is maintained in the accompanying Credits.txt file. If you maintain one of these projects and would like your attribution adjusted, please get in touch through the site.

A note on accuracy

Hardware and tools evolve. We aim to keep these pages correct, but always cross-check critical steps against current project documentation before performing irreversible work.

Thank you to everyone who preserves and extends this small, beloved console. This wiki is a tribute to that ongoing effort.
