Using Swiss

Swiss can write to memory cards and change settings. Back up your real game saves before experimenting so a mistake never costs you progress.

Using Swiss

Once Swiss is on screen it becomes your main hub. Learning its layout makes everything else easier.

  1. Choose a device
From the main screen, pick the storage you want to read, such as your SD2SP2, SD Gecko, or an attached ODE. Swiss then lists the files on it.
  2. Browse files
Navigate folders to find homebrew apps in .dol or .elf form and game images. Highlight an item to see details about it.
  3. Adjust settings
Open the settings menu to tweak options like video mode, force progressive scan, or patching behavior. Sensible defaults work for most people.
  4. Use the tools
Beyond loading, Swiss can manage memory cards, copy or restore saves, and handle compressed RVZ and NKit images directly.

Take it slow

You do not need to understand every option at once. Start by loading a simple homebrew app to confirm everything works, then explore the more advanced settings as you grow comfortable.
