Installing SD2SP2

The serial port 2 cover and connector are fragile. Power off and unplug the console first, and never force the adapter. Some early units and the DOL-101 revision lack a usable serial port 2.

Installing SD2SP2

SD2SP2 gives the GameCube fast internal SD storage. It is solderless, so the install is mostly a matter of opening a small panel and seating the adapter.

  1. Prepare
Turn the console off, unplug it, and flip it upside down. Locate the small serial port 2 cover on the underside, near the front.
  2. Open the panel
Gently pry off the serial port 2 cover. Work slowly so you do not snap the plastic tabs or stress the connector beneath it.
  3. Seat the adapter
Line up the SD2SP2 with the connector and press it down squarely until it sits flush. It should slot in without force.
  4. Verify
Insert a prepared microSD card, power on, and launch Swiss. Point Swiss at the SD2SP2 device and confirm it lists your files.

SD2SP2 is storage only, so make sure you also have an entry point such as PicoBoot or the save exploit to actually start Swiss.
