CWCheat
CWCheat: The Cheat Engine
CWCheat is the most popular cheat plugin for the PSP. Loaded as a .prx in the game context, it lets you apply codes to games for things like infinite health, unlocked items, or extra currency.
How It Works
Once enabled, CWCheat runs invisibly in the background. During gameplay you press a button combination to open its overlay menu, where you browse and toggle codes for the game you are playing.
Code Databases
Codes are stored in a database file on the Memory Stick, organized by each game's unique ID. Large community databases exist covering thousands of titles, and you can add your own codes by editing the file.
Per-Game Matching
CWCheat identifies games by their internal ID and region. A code written for one region's release may do nothing, or misbehave, on another.
- Install the CWCheat plugin in the game context.
- Place the cheat database file where the plugin expects it.
- Launch a game and open the CWCheat overlay.
- Enable the codes you want, then resume play.
Cheats can crash games or corrupt saves, especially when several conflict. Back up your saves before experimenting with unfamiliar codes.
Used responsibly, CWCheat is a flexible way to revisit games on your own terms.
