Plugins not working

Plugins Not Working

A plugin you installed, such as a cheat engine or screenshot tool, never activates, or the PSP hangs at boot after you enabled it.

Common Causes

  • Plugin not enabled. CFW lists plugins but leaves them off until you toggle them in the recovery or VSH menu.
  • Wrong config path. The plugin list file or its referenced .prx path is mistyped or points to a missing file.
  • Wrong runlevel. A plugin meant for in-game will not load if assigned to the XMB, and vice versa.
  • Incompatible plugin. Plugins built for older CFW can crash modern 6.61 setups.

Fixes

  1. Open the CFW recovery menu (hold R while booting), go to Plugins, and switch the entry to Enabled.
  2. Confirm the plugin .prx files are in SEPLUGINS and that the list file points to their exact paths.
  3. Match the runlevel: use vsh for XMB tools and game for in-game tools like cheats.
  4. If the system hangs at boot, disable all plugins from recovery mode, then re-enable them one at a time to find the culprit.

A single bad path can stop all plugins from loading, so check spelling carefully.
